Eligibility Requirements

Applicants Must

Be between 16-19 years old
Reside in Idaho
Have a demonstrated interest in pursuing a construction trade or related construction career pathway
Be currently enrolled in, accepted to, or planning to enter a trade, technical education, or apprenticeship program

Important Notes:

Submitting an application does not guarantee funding.
Grant awards are based on eligibility, application completeness, available funding, and alignment with the goals of the Tools 4 Teens program.
Tool grant certificates must be redeemed in person at an Idaho D&B Supply location. Certificates cannot be redeemed online, by phone, or through a third party.

Each participant may receive one tool grant. Previous recipients are not eligible for additional tool grants.
Please do not submit multiple applications. You will be notified when your application has been reviewed.

Application Process

Applicants will be asked to provide:

Contact information
School, training program, or apprenticeship information
Trade or career interest
A brief statement describing career goals and how the grant would support their training or career development
Contact information for a teacher, employer, mentor, or trade instructor (not a parent or guardian)
Parent/guardian information (if under 18)

Application Review Timeline

Due to a high volume of applications, our review process is currently taking longer than anticipated. All completed applications will be considered, and applicants will be notified once a decision has been made.
